Giant was originally started in 1972 as a manufacturer for some of the worlds top cycling brands. In 1981 with neirly a decade of expeience manufaturing, Giant’s own brand was born when they introduced their own Giant-branded bikes to the market.
Giant introduced the CADEX carbon fiber road bike in 1987, becoming the first bicycle maker to apply computer-aided design and volume production techniques to the production of carbon fiber road bikes.
In 2008 Liv/giant, a new cycling brand dedicated solely to female riders, is established with new bikes, gear and stores worldwide.
Over the years Giant has won several awards and been recognized by the International Forum Design group for their innovative designs.
